In the heated Republican presidential primary, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley are tied for second place in New Hampshire, according to the latest poll from NMB Research.
In a survey of likely New Hampshire GOP primary voters, NMB Research found that DeSantis and Haley are tied with 10%, behind former President Donald Trump and just ahead of entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
Here are the poll results:
- Trump: 37%
- DeSantis: 10%
- Haley: 10%
- Christie: 8%
- Ramaswamy: 8%
No other candidate received more than 5% of the vote, according to NMB Research.
“DeSantis tops the second-choice ballot, with 20% of voters saying he would be their second choice in the primary,” pollster Jim Hobart said. “Ramaswamy is the second choice of 18% of voters, and Haley the second choice of 15%.”
The survey comes after a recent Wall Street Journal poll found that DeSantis trails Trump in national support, with just 13% of Republican primary voters ranking DeSantis as their first-choice candidate.
NMB Research polled 800 likely Republican primary voters in New Hampshire from Aug. 25-31 with a margin of error of 3.46 percentage points.
